“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
– Marcel Proust
A moment to pause
We’re fascinated by how we see and what we choose to notice. Insignificant things encountered every day can suddenly appear strange or beautiful when viewed from a different angle. It’s a recurring theme across our projects, from The Offcuts and Stone Animals to our more recent Face Castings. They embrace abstraction and invite the viewer to construct their own narrative. On my daily walks I’m often struck by things I’d previously overlooked.
Beauty is everywhere from the tiniest details of a surface, to the curve of a shadow, or the way someone wears their hat. Fascination is constant; we just need to stop and look.
Viewfinder offers a moment to pause — to frame the world and see it anew. Inspired by the iconic form of a camera’s viewfinder, it can be worn either as a ring or a pendant. We love its ambiguity: it might resemble a relic from antiquity or a piece of hardware from a workshop.
In our digital age we are saturated with imagery, Viewfinder is a beautiful lo-fi window into the physical world — a reminder to look again.
