Floating Log House
This house is situated on a bank side running down to a lake in a forestry part of south Sweden. I wanted to re-intepret the traditional log house an make it sustainable off the grid. As wood is a local and plentiful resource. No insulation is required in the walls therefore saving material. Heating and cooling will be generated by geothermal technique and electricity generated by a anaerobic composting system . The floating glass box will have shutters that will help control heat loss in the winter and overheating in the summer.
